Anti Cheating System
Several mechanics are used to prevent cheating in the game:
- GPS tracking
- Motion sensor and health data
- Bluetooth 5.1 technology
Using devices that have been altered (jailbroken, rooted, or with an altered OS) will result in StepHunt not working properly.
Transferring Shoes from one account to another account will result in the Shoe entering a Cooldown period. During this period, users will not be able to use the transferred Shoes.
Each account must only match one phone. If a player transfers his account from one device to another one the account will be frozen and will be asked for further verifications to prove the ownership of the account in order to successfully confirm the device swap.
For what concerns the Co-op game mode users will need to meet specific distance requirements. The app will use Bluetooth 5.1 , which adds improvements that considerably improve measuring distance and direction measurement, to calculate accurate distance between phones and prevent users from exploiting the feature by bringing more than 1 phone with them.
